Fall 2016 Institute of Politics Fellows

The fall 2016 cohort of fellows from the Institute of Politics visited Wadsworth House for a welcome with Jackie O'Neill and a short tour of Harvard Yard. This fall's fellows include: activist Peter Staley, Republican party operative David Kochel, retired US Army General James Hill, Deputy Campaign Manager (for Carly Fiorina) Sarah Isgur Flores, ABC News reporter Ann Compton, and New York State Assemblyman from the Bronx Michael A. Blake.

Former Ambassador and Governor Gary Locke

The former US Ambassador to China and former Governor of Washington State, Gary Locke, a visiting fellow at the Institute of Politics, visited Wadsworth House as part of his the day stay on campus. University Marshal Jackie O'Neill was joined by Vice Provost for International Affairs (and Professor of Chinese History) Mark Elliott in receiving Governor Locke at Wadsworth House. Governor Locke also spoke at the John F. Kennedy, Jr. Forum earlier in the week.

Ambassador Wendy Sherman

October 6, 2015

Former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Wendy Sherman, began her stay at Harvard as a resident fellow of the Institute of Politics (IOP) with a visit to the Marshal's Office. She will lead a study group at the IOP called "Negotiating Change" and will speak in the JFK, Jr. Forum on the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Governor Nikki Haley

Nikki R. Haley, Governor of South Carolina, came to Harvard at the invitation of Dr. Allen Counter and the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations. Her visit included a private meeting with President Faust, courtesy call at Wadsworth House with Jackie O'Neill, a meeting with undergraduate student leaders at the Philips Brooks House, and a reception at Winthrop House.
