Spring 2022 IOP Fellows

Three of the six Spring 2022 Resident Fellows at the Institute of Politics (IOP) visited the Marshal's Office to have a short tour of Wadsworth House and to sign the university guest book. Following their visit to Wadsworth they had a private tour of Widener Library.

Former University Marshal Richard Hunt passes away

We were greatly saddened to learn of the recent passing of Richard Hunt, Harvard's 9th University Marshal. Rick led a remarkable life and served the university tirelessly, in many capacities, over 40 years. Below are links to his obituary, and the Harvard Gazette's tribute to him upon his retirement in 2002. He will be greatly missed.

Junior Family Weekend Open House

The Marshal's Office hosted an open house at Wadsworth House during Junior Family Weekend for Harvard College. About 100 families of current College juniors stopped in to see the inside of one of Harvard's most historic buildings, to view the photo gallery of honorary degree recipients at past Commencements, and to learn more about Harvard's priorities in the world and the challenges it faces.

Takele Uma Benti, Mayor of Addis Ababa

The Mayor of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Takele Uma Benti, visited Wadsworth House while at Harvard for a week-long engagement with the Center for International Development at the Harvard Kennedy School.
