Spanish University leaders at Harvard

The leaders of five major universities in Spain visited Harvard for two days of meetings and panel discussions, convened by the Real Colegio Complutense.  The rectors spent time at Wadsworth House with University Marshal Dr. Margot Gill before beginning their program. Spanish naval delegation

60 Spanish naval officers and officers in training visited Harvard while in Boston as part of a 6-month training expedition at sea. Following a brief welcome by the Marshal and visit inside Wadsworth House, the delegation had a student-led tour of Harvard Yard and a stop inside Widener Library.

Rector of Universidad Politecnica de Madrid

Professor Carlos Conde, the Rector (President) of Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM), made his first visit to the Harvard campus after UPM entered into collaboration with the Real Colegio Complutense (RCC). He was accompanied by UPM's Vice-Rector for International Relations, Jose Manuel Paez; Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Administrative Dean Margot Gill; and RCC Director Jose Manuel Martinez Sierra.

Joaquin Almunia, Vice President of the European Commission

Joaquin Almunia, Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Competition for the European Union, visited Wadsworth House while at Harvard for a day of events sponsored by the Center for European Studies (CES). He later delivered a speech at CES titled, "Competition and EU Policy-Making."

Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid

The Rector and Vice-Rector of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos spent two days in Cambridge to renew a long-standing relationship with Harvard through the Real Colegio Complutense. While on campus, they stopped by Wadsworth House, where Rector Pedro Gonzalez-Trevijano signed the university guest book.
