President Kikwete signs the university guest book

The former President of Tanzania, Jakaya Kikwete, visited Harvard at the invitation of the Center for African Studies to deliver a keynote address at the inaugural Conference on the Role of the Diaspora in the Revitalization of African Higher Education. Professor Emmanuel Akyeampong brought President Kikwete and his delegation to Wadsworth House for a courtesy visit with the Marshal before the conference began.

The University Marshal welcomed Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Bint Hassan of Jordan at the Marshal's Office during her visit to the Center for Green Buildings and Cities at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Professor Ali Malkawi accompanied her, along with three aides. Her visit also included stops at Widener Library and the Harvard Art Museums.

University of Manchester delegation

A delegation of senior administrators and faculty from the University of Manchester visited Harvard for 2 days to develop a partnership around new health and social care innovations in Greater Manchester. The Harvard Global Health Institute and the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies hosted the visit, which included a short tour of Harvard Yard and meeting with the University Marshal.

Ambassador of Oman to the United States

The Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United States, Hunainan Sultan Ahmed Al-Mughairy, met with the University Marshal as part of a visit to Harvard that also included a talk on US-Oman relations co-hosted by the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) and the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs. She was accompanied to Wadsworth House by Sara Roy of CMES, and her niece.
